About the role

  • As the Director, Account Management at Anton Rx, you will lead the client-facing strategy and execution for a portfolio of health plan clients, ensuring alignment between Anton Rx’s clinical insights, trade strategies, and client business objectives.
  • You will serve as the strategic liaison between clients and Anton Rx’s internal teams, Trade Relations, Clinical Pharmacy, Analytics, and Business Development, translating complex clinical and contractual data into actionable strategies that deliver measurable outcomes.
  • This Nashville-based role requires both strategic vision and operational precision, balancing client relationship leadership, clinical alignment, and cross-functional execution to maximize value for our clients and position Anton Rx as the trusted leader in medical benefit management and pharmacy intelligence.

What you'll do

  • Client Relationship Leadership
    • Serve as the primary strategic partner and relationship owner for assigned health plan clients.
    • Lead all client communication touchpoints including monthly collaboration meetings, quarterly touchpoints, and annual business reviews.
    • Build and maintain executive-level relationships with Pharmacy and Medical Directors, ensuring alignment on clinical strategies and financial goals.
    • Act as the “voice of the client” internally, advocating for client needs, identifying opportunities for improvement, and escalating issues as appropriate.
  • Clinical & Contractual Strategy Alignment
    • Collaborate with Clinical and Trade Relations teams to ensure clients’ medical policy criteria and coverage align with rebate eligibility and value-based contract requirements.
    • Translate complex clinical, outcomes, and rebate data into strategic recommendations for clients, focusing on net cost reduction, policy alignment, and utilization optimization.
    • Partner with Clinical Pharmacy team to identify emerging therapy trends and provide data-driven recommendations for benefit strategy adjustments.
  • 3. Delivery of Insights and Outcomes
    • Oversee delivery of quarterly reporting packages, ensuring data accuracy, timely delivery, and clear narrative insights.
    • Lead client business reviews, crafting compelling, data-driven presentations that tell the story of performance, outcomes, and opportunities.
    • Partner with Data Analytics to contextualize rebate performance, utilization trends, and value-based outcomes in client communications.
  • 4. Operational Excellence & Internal Collaboration
    • Lead cross-functional alignment between Account Management, Trade, Clinical, and Analytics teams to deliver on all client commitments.
    • Ensure seamless client onboarding, including initial claims review, baseline analytics, and policy alignment assessments.
    • Maintain organized and transparent documentation of client activities, goals, and deliverables.
    • Uphold Anton Rx standards for communication, professionalism, and timeliness in all internal and external interactions.
  • 5. Embrace AI and Continuous Learning
    • Leverage AI tools to enhance decision-making, streamline processes, and drive value.
    • Stay curious and adaptable by proactively applying advancements in AI.
    • Collaborate with emerging technologies to contribute to a workplace culture built on innovation and growth.

Qualifications

  • PharmD or RN preferred; MBA or MMHC strongly preferred
  • 3+ years of health plan experience strongly preferred
  • Experience in Account Management, Clinical Strategy, or Client Services within the managed care industry preferred
  • Strong understanding of formulary development, rebate contracting, and clinical policy alignment
  • Demonstrated success in developing and delivering strategic client presentations
  • Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, able to simplify complex data and clinical concepts for executive audiences
  • Proven ability to facilitate cross-functional collaboration and manage multiple client relationships with precision and professionalism
  • This role requires regular in-person engagement with clients, including travel (up to 40%) for meetings, business reviews, and industry conferences

Work Environment

  • This is an office-based role working out of our Nashville, TN office, with regular travel required
