Night Auditor

Job Title: Night Auditor

Job Summary: The Current Hotel part of the Marriott Autograph Collection- a portfolio of distinctive and one-of-a-kind hotels- is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Night Auditor to join our team. This position is crucial in balancing daily financial transactions, ensuring smooth overnight operations, and delivering outstanding guest service during late hours.

Essential Functions:

  • Perform nightly audits of hotel financial transactions, including verifying and posting revenue reports, guest folios, and departmental sales.
  • Complete end-of-day reporting and ensure the accuracy of hotel accounting records.
  • Assist with late-night guest check-ins and early morning check-outs, providing prompt and courteous service.
  • Respond to guest inquiries, requests, and concerns, ensuring satisfaction and resolving issues professionally.
  • Monitor hotel security and safety measures during overnight shifts, reporting any irregularities to security, management and/or MOD.
  • Controls any cash transactions at front desk and maintains complete responsibility for personal bank as specified by hotel bank agreement policy.
  • Operates the phone system by accepting all incoming calls, assisting with outgoing calls, scheduling and setting wakeup calls to provide timely and efficient service for guests.
  • Prepare daily activity and financial summary reports for management review.
  • Handle overnight communications, including coordinating guest messages and wake-up calls.
  • Support the Front Office team by maintaining a clean and organized workspace and assisting with administrative tasks as needed.
  • Prepare daily night shift report for management and day shift personals.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a Hotel Front Office or accounting role is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work independently.
  • Proficiency in using property management and accounting systems, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills, with a professional and courteous demeanor.
  • Flexibility to work overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Familiarity with Marriott systems and standards is a plus but not required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, and move continuously throughout the shift.
  • Occasionally lift, push, pull, or carry items up to 25 pounds.
  • Perform repetitive tasks, such as typing and data entry, in a fast-paced environment.
