About Us: Nation's Infusion at Home, a wholly owned subsidiary of Lifebridge Health Partners, is a full-service Home Infusion company, offering a variety of home health services to the Maryland and DC markets.
Job Summary: Nation's Infusion at Home is seeking part-time Pharmacy Technicians for our Owings Mills office! This role is inside of an Infusion pharmacy where all medications are prepared, then shipped to patients - we do not see patients on-site. This role primarily collaborates with the pharmacists, intake team, and delivery drivers.
This role will primarily handle weekend TPN production (but possibly other medications) and will require Saturdays and/or Sundays, 8:30 AM - 5 PM. We’re seeking candidates who can work at least 2 weekends per month. Holiday availability would be a big plus!
Key Duties:
· Current experience in compounding sterile admixtures, including but not limited to parenteral nutrition, antibiotics, chemotherapy, and hydration, using aseptic techniques and under the supervision of a pharmacist.
· Familiar with current USP 797/800 standards.
· Knowledge of quality assurance testing and aseptic technique required.
· Knowledge of basic drug terminology, pharmaceutical calculations and drug use required.
· Maintain accurate records
· Track inventory and assist with reconciliation
· Perform cleaning of compounding areas and equipment per USP 797/800 and conduct environmental monitoring
· Must have an active Pharmacy Technician license.
Requirements:
· At least 1 year of experience in a compounding experience
· Strong knowledge base in sterile IV admixture procedures, medication therapy management, and home infusion services
· Ability to problem solve and work in a high stress environment
· Proficient with software including, but limited to, O365 and EMR systems
· Excellent problem solving, organization, and communication skills
· Ability to exercise sound independent judgment
· Strong working knowledge of USP <797> and <800> standards
· Current Maryland Pharmacy Technician license in good standing
· Ability to work the required schedule
PHYSICAL WORK CONDITIONS
• Ability to work in an office environment and infusion pharmacy setting
• Long periods of standing and pivoting, reaching, grabbing, and handling materials
• Handling hazardous chemicals/medications
• Working in a clean room
