The Opportunity: You will serve as a foundational member of the project management team, transforming complex blueprints into actionable, winning bids. This role offers the autonomy to manage the preconstruction lifecycle while benefiting from the stability of a multi-generation, family-owned firm. Your precision in cost analysis directly secures the future pipeline of our commercial and government infrastructure projects.

How You Will Make an Impact:

• Formulate comprehensive cost estimates for labor, materials, and equipment to ensure competitive and profitable project bids.

• Interpret intricate construction drawings and specifications to identify potential project risks and scope gaps.

• Coordinate and level subcontractor proposals to build a reliable and cost-effective partner network.

• Execute value engineering assessments to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising structural integrity.

• Maintain updated historical cost databases by analyzing unit rates from previously self-performed projects.

• Direct communication with clients and superintendents to align project budgets with real-world field logistics.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum of 35 years of dedicated experience in construction estimating.

• Proven proficiency in reading and interpreting detailed construction drawings and technical specifications.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel for complex data analysis and budgeting.

• Strong analytical background with a focus on self-performing general contracting workflows.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related technical field.

• Demonstrated experience using specialized industry estimating software.

• Hands-on field experience in excavation, road construction, or concrete work.
