About This Position

Are you passionate about public service and have experience in property management? The Boise City / Ada County Housing Authorities are currently seeking a full-time Certification/Property Management Specialist to join our team. In this role, you'll handle various property management activities, ensuring our properties are well-managed and our tenants receive the best service. Be a part of a dedicated team and help us maintain high standards in affordable housing.

Key Responsibilities:

Implement leasing functions: maintain a waitlist, contact applicants, handle correspondence, review applications, and verify eligibility.
Show apartments and explain rental policies, regulations, and procedures.
Work closely with maintenance staff to manage lease-ups and move-outs.
Enforce policies on parking, lease violations, complaints, program participation, and rent changes.
Oversee rental collection: post late payments, send late rent letters, and establish repayment agreements.
Monitor program compliance with HUD requirements and perform re-certifications.
Attend training sessions to enhance property management knowledge and skills.
Prepare regular and special reports on rent collection, waiting lists, eligibility, and lease-ups.
Conduct property and unit inspections according to HUD protocol.
Qualifications and Skills:

Two years of property management or housing-related experience.
Knowledge and experience working with HUD-related housing or programs preferred.

Any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the necessary knowledge and abilities to perform the work.

Must have a valid Idaho State driver’s license.

Schedule:
Our office is closed on Fridays. The work schedule is Monday - Thursday, 10-hour days.
