About This Position

Description:

INTIGRAL supplies just-in-time, mass-customized insulating glass units (IGU), monolithic glass products, and Blinds Between the glass to window and door manufacturers from the Midwest States to the Mid-Atlantic. We are seeking a Line Lead for our Framing Department.

1st Shift

M-F 6a.m. - 2.30 p.m.

Major Job Responsibilities:

Administers, organizes, and conducts cross-training for the assembly team. Exhibits a high level of expertise in the general functionality of the equipment and processes as it relates to standard work, transferring this knowledge as part of cross-training. This position provides feedback & coaching around quality issues relating to first-time-through, while providing continuous training related to operator errors. Provides leadership that would include, coaching, conflict resolution, identifying process constraints, appropriate problem solving, and working on the line as the need arises. Responsibilities also include the training of new and temporary team members, while providing the shift supervisor with relevant performance feedback.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Included, but not limited to):

  • Facilitate startup meetings to ensure smooth and efficient startup to each work day
  • Execute changeovers without safety issues while maximizing up time and minimizing quality issues
  • Follow and administer all safety procedures and personal protective equipment according to standards. Be proactive on safety concerns and make recommendations when appropriate.
  • Respond to any downtime situation and correct it immediately or communicate the need for support. Responsible for the hour-by-hour operation of your work center(s) to ensure that the team is working efficiently towards exceeding the daily schedule
  • Verifies that operators are following the repair process
  • Monitor WIP (work in process) levels to ensure smooth work flow
  • Train new or existing operators using the Standard Work, Work Instructions and Control Plans as the training templates
  • Know, understand and promote the quality specifications for the department. Lead corrective actions.
  • Perform position work when there is a need for members to leave the production line and for absenteeism
  • Deploy, execute and train to existing and future process improvements
  • Provide feedback on and execute decisions related to operations and personnel
  • Maintain audits as necessary (standard work, safety, training matrix, etc.)
  • Required to report to work 30 minutes prior to shift start
Requirements:

Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or GED and six to 12 months of related experience or training are equivalent to a combination of education and experience. Ability to understand work orders, follow procedures, and stay on task
  • Certain positions require you to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and push or pull 75+ lbs
  • Positions in assembly and inspection require specific vision abilities that include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Continuously exposed to moderate manufacturing noise.
  • Stand continuously for an 8-hour shift + OT
