Position Overview:
Superior Dairy is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead hourly production staff, ensuring safe, efficient operations that meet company and regulatory standards. Weekend and holiday availability is required.This hands-on role involves managing production lines, cleaning procedures (manual scrubbing, foaming, COP, CIP), and chemical safety. You will independently identify and solve manufacturing issues, leading projects to improve processes, equipment, and products.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure that the area of responsibility supports all plant goals daily and weekly reviewing results with staffCoordinate and administer daily interaction between the assigned area of responsibility and all other departments in the plant. This would include peers across shifts.Ensure that personnel have proper qualifications, are properly trained, and are motivated to work productively both as part of a team and individuallyEnsure compliance with established standards in the areas of food quality & safety and employee safety. Identify and implement opportunities for improvement.Ensure compliance with administrative and reporting procedures while complying with overtime and provisions of the handbookReview labor schedules weekly before posting and provide feedback to ensure optimal production coverageCoordinate labor staffing daily in coherence with budgeted staffingFollow-up and prioritize with maintenance and other shifts.Check QA documentation, and verify employees' time and attendance assigned to the area of responsibilityAnalyze information and follow up on exceptions and opportunitiesFoster a continuous improvement mindset, elevating new ideas (both your own and those of your employees), and executing plans to positively impact the plant operations and goalsOther duties as assigned.Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities required to successfully perform major duties/responsibilities:

Bachelor’s degree preferred but not requiredMinimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing or a high-speed, complex environment requiredExperience with Microsoft Office Suite requiredMinimum of 1 year in a supervisory capacity preferredFood manufacturing experience is preferred but not requiredTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each responsibility satisfactorily.
