About This Position

About the Role:

As a Welder, you will play a critical role in the fabrication and assembly of metal structures and components, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety. Your expertise in various welding techniques will be essential to join metal parts accurately according to blueprints and specifications. You will work closely with engineering and production teams to interpret technical drawings and select appropriate welding methods for different materials, including stainless steel and flux core metals. The role demands precision and attention to detail to produce durable and reliable welds that meet industry standards. Ultimately, your work will contribute to the successful completion of projects across diverse sectors such as construction, manufacturing, and maintenance within the United States.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a welder with proficiency in arc, TIG, and MIG welding techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols accurately.
  • Familiarity with welding stainless steel, flux core, and other common metals used in fabrication.
  • Experience operating overhead cranes and other material handling equipment safely.
  • High school diploma or equivalent with relevant welding certifications.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification from a recognized welding institution such as AWS (American Welding Society).
  • Experience with brazing and metal fabrication processes in an industrial setting.
  • Knowledge of welding safety standards and OSHA regulations.
  • Ability to work with a variety of welding machines and maintain welding equipment.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or construction environment within the United States.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform arc welding, TIG welding, MIG welding, and brazing on various metal components following detailed blueprints and work orders.
  • Operate overhead cranes and other lifting equipment safely to position heavy metal parts for welding and assembly.
  • Inspect welded joints for quality and structural integrity, making adjustments or repairs as necessary to meet specifications.
  • Collaborate with metal fabrication teams to prepare materials, cut metal pieces, and assemble components prior to welding.
  • Maintain welding equipment and ensure compliance with safety protocols and industry regulations at all times.

Skills:
