Section II: Summary of Job Function
The Pharmacy Technician assists in the provision of pharmaceutical services under supervision of the Registered Pharmacist by performing the technical, clerical and manipulative tasks involved in dispensing, preparing, and distributing all medications and pharmaceutical products for all patient age groups includes geriatrics, adult, adolescent, pediatric and neonatal,

Section III: Job Qualifications
Education/Training/Certification/Licensure:
High School graduate or equivalent,
Associates degree preferred,
Experience: 1 year of Pharmacy experience
Registered with the Board of Pharmacy within 6 months of start date
Successful completion of all orientations,

Accurately order medications and supplies through Cardinal Health

Order medications and supplies in a timely manner, making sure pharmacy is properly stocked,

Complete all QA logs accurately, timely, and entered into Simplifi daily refrigerator, freezer, & room temp, maintenance of pill counter, etc,

Compound non-sterile medications under pharmacist supervision,
11,
Track mail & driver deliveries thru USPS and resolve shipping issues including returned deliveries to ensure it goes thru the reversal process,
12,
Tracking all document required by Medicare, including assignment of benefits, Physicians order, Receipt of
deliver forms and delivery tickets,
13,
Correctly package orders for mail delivery,
14,
Adjudicates prescriptions correctly, covering cost of medication,
15,
Assists the reimbursement department with re-billing issues when needed,
16,
Maintain an accurate record of expired medications,
Removing from shelf and removing from inventory,
17,
Keep shelves, counters, filling area neat and clean,
Rotating medication shelves to follow FIFO,
18,
Responsible for handling calls coming in through the ACD phone system,
19,
Prepares delivers for couriers and contacts patients about their order,
20,
Return medications and supplies to proper areas,
21,
Review and resolve discrepancies in the Cardinal Inventory Management,
22,
Return unused or over ordered medications to vendors in a timely manner,

Responsible for weekly refill compliance calls,
24,
Enter inventory daily to keep an accurate count of medications in stock,
25,
Call patients & process credit cards for copay amounts after prescriptions are filled,
26,
Responsible for contacting patients to schedule new prescriptions that come in by the physician,
27,
Follows up with all patients post discharge to ensure the understanding of insurance and processes,
28,
Maintains prescription files and refill sheets in an orderly manner,
29,
Create & process delivery tickets for the completion of an order,
