Our Model: Our centers utilize a unique Therapy Through Play model. We embrace the principles of Reggio Emilia by devising a Natural Environment Teaching (NET), child-led learning environment to deliver individualized, high-quality early intervention services in settings that replicate a natural preschool.Our Team: Join our collaborative team of BCBAs, RBTs, SLPs, and Administration. About the RoleAs our Financial Controller, you are the vital link between our clinical excellence and our organization's financial health. You don’t just report on the numbers; you own the full financial performance and strategic clarity of the organization.
In this role, you will have ultimate ownership over our profitability, revenue accuracy, and budget performance. By partnering closely with our CEO, Clinical Leadership, and Operations teams, you will ensure our growth is sustainable, intentional, and backed by high-level financial decision-making. Your mission is to provide the "cash clarity" and data-driven insights needed to scale our impact with confidence.
Key Responsibilities1. Financial Leadership & P&L Ownership
Own company-wide and clinic-level P&LsProvide real-time visibility into revenue, expenses, and profitabilityIdentify risks, inefficiencies, and opportunities across clinics2. ABA Revenue & BCBA Performance Alignment
Track and analyze:BCBA billable hours vs. expectationsUtilization (authorized vs. delivered hours)Caseload vs. revenue outputPartner with CCO + Clinical Leadership to:Align clinical expectations with financial targetsEnsure billing practices support both compliance and profitabilityFlag underperformance early and provide solutions3. RCM & Collections Oversight
Partner with RCM VP to ensure:Accurate billing and clean claimsStrong collections (≥97%)Reduced AR agingIdentify and resolve:Revenue leakageDelays in billing or collectionsPayer-specific issues4. Budgeting, Forecasting & Growth Planning
Own department and clinic-level budgetingReallocate resources (“move money”) to ensure budgets work in real timeBuild budgets tied to:Staffing (BCBAs, RBTs)Client demand and authorizationsClinic expansion plansWork with COO + Operations on:Supply vs. demand planningHiring timelines tied to revenue5. Cash Flow & Owner-Level Financial Clarity
Manage and forecast cash flow with visibility into:Insurance payment cyclesPayroll and major expensesCreate clear views of:True profit (pre vs. post tax strategy)Owner expenses and adjustmentsProvide clarity on cash available for:ExpansionRaises and incentivesCapital projectsEnsure financials are aligned for banking, lending, and investments6. Financial Decision-Making & Ownership

Ensure alignment with:Healthcare billing standardsInsurance complianceMaintain clean, audit-ready financialsTop RequirementsEducation: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.Certification: CPA (Highly Preferred).Experience: 5+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience preferred. Healthcare experience (specifically ABA or multi-site clinics) is a massive plus.Skillset: You must be comfortable with RCM (Revenue Cycle Management) and building data dashboardThe pay range for this role is:80,000 - 100,000 USD per year(St. Louis, MO)
