Position Summary

Works under general guidance of the Director, Adult Day Care to prepare and portion food to clients of the Adult Day Care.

Minimum Qualifications

Work Experience

Previous experience in institutional food service preferred.

Education-
High school graduate or equivalent preferred.

Certifications/Licensure-
Valid Driver's License required.

Motor vehicle record check required and will be performed annually.

Job Specific Performance Standards

The duties listed below are a summary of the major essential functions of this position. The position may require other duties, both major and minor, that are not mentioned, and specific functions may change from time to time.
- Works under general supervision to prepare and portion food in compliance with posted daily production/spread sheets, using standard recipes. Assures compliance with recipe instructions when preparing modified foods for special diets.
- Performs weekly inventory to determine food requirements.
- Orders, receives, and stores food and supply requirements.
- Labels, dates, and properly stores and rotates foods and leftovers. Follows good sanitation/hygiene, food safety practices.
- Maintains sanitary work area. Cleans equipment as used.
- Operates company vehicle to transport Kitchen items to and from The Medical Center. Adheres to driving laws and regulations and assures safe operation of vehicle. Reports maintenance issues. Maintains record of maintenance checks.
