At Valley Regional Hospital, patients are the center of our coordinated care system and right now we have an opening for a Interim Quality, Risk, and Compliance Manager to join our team.
The primary responsibility of the Interim Quality, Risk, and Compliance Manager is

As Risk Manager, develop and administer patient safety, risk-management and loss-prevention programs. Initiates and ensures risk management policies comply with safety legislation and industry practices. Acts as the liaison to attorneys, insurance companies and individuals, investigating any incidences that may result in asset loss. Reviews and analyzes risk management programs for the effectiveness of coverage and to reduce costs and losses.

Collaborates with a Privacy Officer, to ensure activities related to the development, implementation and maintenance of the organization’s privacy policies and procedures are performed in accordance with applicable federal and state laws.

Education/Training:


  • Bachelor’s Degree required

  • Masters (MS) Degree in business, healthcare administration or nursing preferred

  • I must have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and a system view of organization.

  • Hospital or related health service experience (public health, etc.), experience in quality assessment, improvement activities, and risk management preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability to function independently. Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and concisely both verbally and in writing with individuals and groups at various levels and various disciplines. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and navigates general new systems with ease.
