POSITION SUMMARY:

Provide guests with Fun and Escapism, preparing and serving Margaritaville's signature cocktails as well as classic cocktails according to guests' expectations. Responsible for preparing and serving drinks to customers and for mixing ingredients in order to create classic and innovative drinks. The bartender is to interact with the guests and ensure they have a great experience.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Interact with customers, take orders for drinks and snacks.Plan and present bar menu.Serve snacks and drinks to the customer.Check identification of the guest to make sure they meet age requirements for purchase of alcohol products.Mix drinks, cocktails and other bar beverages as ordered and in compliance with hotel standard drink recipes.Arrange bottles and glasses to make attractive displays.Assess customers' needs and preferences and make recommendations.Ability to sell or influence others for up selling and suggestive selling.Serve customers in a friendly and helpful manner.Keep the bar counter and work area neat and clean at all times.Provide guidance to guests on hotel activities, dining options and general/regional information.Monitor alcohol consumption of guests per state beverage training.Wash glassware and utensils after each use.Maintain a clean working area by sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning of glass doors and windows, etc. as required.Perform physical activities such as lifting and stooping.Collect payment for drinks served and balance all receipts.Handle an assigned house bank and follow all cash handling procedures as per hotel standard.Ensure that the assigned bar area is fully equipped with tools and products needed for mixing beverages and serving guests. Perform other duties as assigned by the hotel management.

PREREQUISITES:

• Must be willing to work days, nights, holidays and weekends.
• Must be knowledgeable of the property and surrounding areas, for guest requests
• Friendly, outgoing personality and professional appearance required.
• Physical stamina and mobility including ability to reach, kneel and bend with ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
• Strong verbal communication skills required with an understanding and ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.
• Must be able to work at a high volume and handle stress in a positive way.
• Must be able to assist guests with complaints.
• Must possess a server's permit
• Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
