Production Supervisor (3rd Shift) at Aladdin Temp Rite – Hendersonville, Tennessee

Job Summary

Responsible for the daily management of shift production for the equipment assembly area. May supervise up to 35 or more employees.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Oversee daily production activities of plastic thermoforming machines, injection molding machines and extruders to maximize operating efficiency
• Inventory accuracy; ensure raw material usage is properly recorded – daily/monthly/yearly counts, including managing high-dollar serialized items.
• Manage labor costs efficiently to operate with prescribed overtime guidelines.
• Manage daily safety and housekeeping activities.
• Responsible for meeting production control schedules.
• Administrative: timecard completion, production paperwork, employee recordkeeping, and associated labor agreement compliance.
• Miscellaneous projects and other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities

• Understand scope of manufacturing business operations and exhibit necessary leadership, people management and functional skills.
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
• Able to read and understand work instructions and blueprints to teach and train production associates on assembly procedures
• Able to meet a variety of ever-changing production variables
• Computer literate with Excel and Word. MRP software (JDE Enterprise One) experience is a plus

Education and Experience

• Bachelor Degree preferred. Comparable experience will be considered.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in production supervision.
• Previous work experience with a union facility is a plus.
