RN - Circulator at Central Peninsula Hospital – Soldotna, Alaska

POSITION SUMMARY: Manages individualized, goal directed nursing care through use of the nursing process and the principles of primary nursing in accordance with departmental and hospital policies and procedures and standards of nursing practice.

REQUIREMENTS: Graduate of a school of nursing; current AK licensure at time of hire; 2 years of experience in an acute care setting with the expectation the incumbent participate and successfully complete the Alaska Perioperative Nursing Consortium program as assigned by the Director. Demonstrates proficiency in acute care nursing; knowledge and skills to give age appropriate care in the preoperative and post-operative patient care settings; handles multiple priorities; independent discretion/decision making; makes decisions under pressure; manages stress appropriately; works alone effectively; works in close proximity to others and/or in a distracting environment; and works with others effectively. Prefer 2 years of experience in Surgical Services or 1 year of acute care experience and 1 year of surgical services experience.
