Description:

The mission of the Tunnel to Towers Foundation is to honor the sacrifice of firefighter Stephen Siller who laid down his life to save others on September 11, 2001. We also honor our military and first responders who continue to make the supreme sacrifice of life and limb for our country.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Set up and support desktops, laptops, printers, and tablets on Windows and Mac O/S.
  • Running, terminating and testing data cables.
  • Setup, configuring, and maintaining IP surveillance systems - to nclude wiring (running cables and mounting hardware), networking, and troubleshooting.
  • Supporting staff utilizing MS Office Suite, G-Suite, Adobe, DocuSign.
  • Support Video conferencing software including Zoom, WebEx, MS Team, Google Meet.
  • Work with other IT staff to assist in the daily administration and upgrading of workstation software and hardware.
  • Maintain, repair and upgrade desktop workstations and laptops as directed by the IT Director. Installing system patches and updates.
  • Maintain hardware inventory of all equipment and peripherals, including spare equipment and equipment in need of repair.
  • Assist with IT Support at Foundation Events.
  • Support Office 365 services including Exchange Online, Teams and OneDrive.
  • Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned as needed to support the organization's evolving needs or the department’s mission.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or a minimum of 2 years of related experience.
  • At least 2 years’ experience with support Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Basic understanding of existing network programs and capabilities.
  • Excellent workstation and network troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Must possess the ability to work well within a team.
  • Ability to multitask at a high level in a fast-paced work environment and work efficiently under pressure.
  • Must be able to lift 20 pounds at times.
  • May be required to work on-call or long hours in case of network malfunction.
  • Pre-employment screening, including a background check, is required.

Working conditions

Special working conditions may include: a change in days worked, shift hours, and/or working conditions (outdoors or other locations) when participating and assisting in special events needed.

This role will require national travel up to 20% of the time.
