Helpdesk Engineer in Schaumburg, Illinois at Prescient Solutions

HELPDESK ENGINEER

• Provide Level 1 support to multiple clients remotely in a primarily Microsoft environment;
• Assist with systems administration and projects; and
• Maintain documentation and knowledge base.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, maintain, and upgrade hardware and software.
• Create and administer new user accounts and groups.
• Work closely with Level 2 and Level 3 technicians to gain knowledge of network topology, profiles and tasks within a Windows-based back-end environment.
• Monitor the ticket queue and triage tickets as they are submitted; answer queue calls as they come in.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• At least one year of IT related customer service experience in a helpdesk or call center setting.
• B asic understanding and troubleshooting skills of desktop and laptop OS's, general applications, anti-virus software, Office 365, printers, TCP/IP and communications protocols.
• S trong communication and writing skills.
