General Duties:

Aleut is in search of a highly motivated individual to incorporate Instructional System Design (ISD) processes into training and course materials at the 537th Training Squadron (TRS), Peterson SFB CO.

Specific duties:

• Develop, maintain and instruct in the Initial Qualification Course (IQC)
• Participate in a faculty professional development program that promotes continued education and training for instructors
• Research existing course content and propose new or updated course materials, which apply best practices and principles of adult learning 
• Conduct formal and informal observations of contract instructors in support of the instructor professional development program
• Review and evaluate 537 TRS courseware to ensure alignment, best practices and an opportunity to provide feedback to improve course material
• Provide classroom instruction consistent with Instructional System Design (ISD) satisfying government training requirements
• Interface with internal and external space agencies as required maintaining up-to-date training program
• Coordinate instructional activities with the division chief, training managers and government training personnel
• Additional duties as assigned

Required Skills:

• Possess working knowledge and experience with designing new lesson plans, re-designing existing lesson plans, and updating courseware
• Demonstrated experience with current learning models, research theories, and technologies and innovations in the field of learning
• Demonstrated experience working on and managing instructional design projects
• Demonstrated experience in platform instruction
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook)
• Top Secret Clearance and SCI eligibility required

Education and Required Experience

Education:

• Master's degree from an accredited institution in relevant field or bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution with 8 years of additional experience may be substituted for education requirement

Years of Experience:

• 4 years of experience with USAF/USSF training or equivalent, to include planning and delivering instruction in accordance with the ISD model

Salary Range:

• $100,000 -- $125,000 (annually)
