The Student Ministry Coordinator at Cherry Hills Community Church provides vital operational and ministry support across the Student Ministries department, helping create welcoming, organized, and spiritually engaging environments for middle and high school students. This role coordinates ministry logistics, student environments, guest experience, volunteer support, administrative systems, and event preparation for weekend services, midweek programming, and special events. The Coordinator works closely with the Student Ministries team and volunteers to ensure smooth operations, strong communication, and consistent ministry support. By coordinating key operational functions and collaborating across the ministry, this role helps students, families, and volunteers feel welcomed, equipped, and connected while advancing the mission of CHCC.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES· Assist with weekend and mid-week services by preparing classrooms, managing check-in systems, and serving as a relational presence to students, families, and volunteers.
· Step in to lead student environments as needed, providing safe, welcoming, and spiritually engaging spaces when volunteer gaps arise.
· Coordinate lesson preparation across Student Ministries, where as needed, including organizing teaching materials, gathering supplies, and assisting with age-appropriate curriculum implementation.
· Coordinate the planning and execution of Student Ministries logistics, including weekend services, midweek programming, seasonal events, and special programs; help maintain room order, event materials, and supply readiness.
· Oversee secure and efficient check-in/check-out procedures and assist with student transitions during weekend and midweek ministry.
· Own the setup and tear-down of Student Ministries environments by ensuring ministry spaces are prepared, welcoming, organized, safe, and equipped with the resources needed for each program or event.
· Create a welcoming and highly engaging experience by supporting lobby and check-in environments, connecting relationally with students and families, coordinating guest follow-up, and maintaining signage and ministry atmosphere.
· Support volunteer recruitment and onboarding efforts by assisting with recruiting initiatives, background checks, training documentation, scheduling, and volunteer records while helping cultivate an engaging and healthy volunteer culture.
· Collaborate with the Student Ministries team to identify relevant teaching topics, support curriculum distribution, and enhance program alignment across ministry environments.
· Collaborate with the Student Ministries team to support volunteer scheduling, Sunday and midweek leadership huddles, volunteer communication, recognition efforts, and ongoing leader development.
· Collaborate with the Student Ministries team to support the planning and execution of ministry events, creative programming elements, retreats, camps, and special activities.
· Maintain accurate attendance, volunteer, and safety compliance records using church systems; proactively prepare reports and updates as requested.
· Track and maintain inventory of ministry supplies and ministry resources; organize storage areas and place reorders to ensure consistent readiness.
· Support follow-up for new and absent students by monitoring church management systems, assisting with established follow-up processes, and maintaining accurate engagement records.
· Participate in staff meetings, planning sessions, and training events that support team unity, communication, and alignment with CHCC's mission and values.

Requirements: EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE· High school diploma or equivalent required.
· Enrollment in or completion of a college program related to education, management, or a similar field preferred.
· Previous experience working with children in a church, educational, or recreational setting is highly desirable.
· Basic understanding of child development principles and practices
QUALIFICATIONS and COMPETENCIES· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams); able to utilize standard tools for documentation, communication, and task coordination.
· Demonstrate proficiency with common office technologies, including email, printers/copiers, shared drives, and organizational software platforms; able to troubleshoot basic issues and learn new tools quickly.
· Capable of managing multiple tasks and working under pressure.
· Available for evenings, weekends, or holidays as required.
· Must be located in commutable distance to Highlands Ranch, Colorado, United States
· Must pass a CHCC background check.
