Maternity Registrar Temp in Syracuse, New York at Crouse Hospital

Crouse Health is hiring a Maternity Registrar Temp. This is a temporary assignment with a pre-determined end date.

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4:00pm.

Pay Range: $19.00 / hour

Maternity Registrar Temp Position Responsibilities:

• Abstracting, submitting, and printing Birth Certificates.
• Trained on basic clinical abstracting from the medical record for NYSDOH SPDS abstracting.
• Accurately performs proofing and submission of Electronic Birth Certificates (EBC) to NYS via SPDS.
• Accurately enters data/statistics into SPDS system (NYS obstetrics statistics).
• Upholds the highest level of confidentiality in all aspects of the Birth Registrar/HIM position.

Maternity Registrar Position Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Must pass a medical terminology test with a grade of 75%. Tests will be administered by Human Resources.
• Approval from NYS for HCS/SPDS computer system access required.
• Must be a critical thinker, able to multi-task and have strong penmanship and attention to detail.
