Summary of job:

This position is responsible for creating, maintaining, and ensuring accuracy of all BCC provider schedules. You will provide outreach to clients with a primary focus on scheduling ongoing services(s), updating client demographic and insurance information, and working collaboratively with appropriate staff to ensure accurate and timely services.

As a scheduler, you will…

  • Create and maintain all rendering provider schedules in a timely manner.
  • Complete outreach to clients with a focus on scheduling ongoing services.
  • Review provider schedules for possible discrepancies and report to department leads to ensure update to schedule, as needed.
  • Managed reminder call feature to ensure update to schedule. Process any cancellation and contact appropriate client to fill availability.
  • Maintain a one-hour out of a three-hour maximum turnaround timeframe when returning client calls.
  • Be required to wear scrubs
Requirements:

To qualify for the position, you will need..

  • High school diploma
  • Two (2) years of office experience in the healthcare field required.
  • Proficiency with computer technology required. Flexibility with hours, including evenings required.
  • Excellent communication skills required.
  • Excellent attention to detail required.
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week within agency hours of operation, which are 8am-8pm Mon-Thurs, 8am-4pm Friday with Saturday hours, when applicable.

Preferred candidates will …

  • Verbal communication in both Spanish and English preferred.
  • Knowledge of or experience with trauma-informed approaches preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • SEEING: Must be able to see well enough to read reports and use computer.
  • HEARING: Must be able to hear well enough to communicate to clients, vendors, and coworkers.
  • MOBILITY: Must have mobility to move about the agency.
  • LIFTING/PULLING/PUSHING: Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds.
  • OTHER: Must be able to write, type and use technology.

All offers of employment are contingent upon the following:

  1. Receipt of results of a satisfactory drug and alcohol screening test.
  2. Receipt of the originals of the following background checks: PA State Police Criminal History, PA State Child Abuse, and DPW FBI Criminal History. These clearances must be valid within the 60 months prior to employment. A conviction is not a bar to employment; however, a review will be conducted to make a determination of employment should a conviction be present.
  3. Receipt of original documentation and verification of relevant degrees, diplomas, certificates, or licensure.
  4. Confirmation that you are not on the OIG Federal Healthcare Program Exclusion from Participation list. Should you appear on this list, Berks Counseling Center is prohibited from employing you.
