Part-Time Telemarketing Specialist

We are seeking an energetic, confident, and results-driven Part-Time Telemarketing Specialist to support the growth of our insurance agency. The primary responsibility of this position is to generate qualified sales opportunities by contacting prospective and existing customers, creating interest in our insurance products and services, and scheduling appointments for our licensed sales professionals.

Part-Time Schedule
Part-Time | Approximately 20–25 Hours Per Week

The position will generally be scheduled Monday through Friday during designated prospecting and customer-contact periods.

The schedule may be structured around high-productivity calling blocks to maximize customer contact and appointment opportunities.

Candidates must be able to maintain a consistent weekly schedule and demonstrate dependable attendance.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES
  • Outbound Calling & Prospecting
  • Make consistent outbound calls to prospective and existing customers.
  • Contact agency-generated leads, internet leads, previous quote opportunities, referrals, and other approved prospect lists.
  • Re-engage customers and prospects who previously requested insurance information.
  • Introduce the agency and create interest in discussing insurance needs.
  • Ask appropriate qualifying questions to identify potential opportunities.
  • Identify prospects interested in auto, homeowners, renters, life, and other available insurance products.
  • Conduct approved outreach to existing customers regarding additional insurance needs.
  • Generate referral opportunities when appropriate.
  • Appointment Setting

The primary objective of the Part-Time Telemarketing Specialist is to create qualified appointments and conversations for the licensed sales team.



Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to...
  • Schedule qualified appointments with prospective customers.
  • Connect interested prospects with licensed sales representatives.
  • Conduct warm transfers when appropriate.
  • Confirm scheduled appointments.
  • Follow up with prospects who miss or reschedule appointments.
  • Maintain accurate notes regarding the customer's needs and reason for the appointment.
  • Consistently work toward established appointment and conversion goals.
  • Lead Follow-Up
Successful telemarketing requires consistent and organized follow-up.



The Part-Time Telemarketing Specialist will:
  • Respond promptly to assigned leads.
  • Make multiple contact attempts when appropriate.
  • Follow established agency lead-management processes.

  • Document prospect responses and future follow-up dates.

CUSTOMER COMMUNICATION
The Telemarketing Specialist is often the prospect's first interaction with our agency and is expected to create a professional and positive first impression.

Responsibilities include:
  • Communicate professionally and enthusiastically.
  • Build rapport quickly over the telephone.
  • Ask effective questions and listen carefully to responses.
  • Clearly communicate the reason for the call.
  • Use agency-approved scripts and conversation frameworks.
  • Respond professionally to common objections.
  • Remain courteous when customers are not interested.
  • Represent the agency professionally during every interaction.

SUPPORTING THE SALES TEAM
The Part-Time Telemarketing Specialist works directly with our licensed sales professionals to maintain a consistent pipeline of opportunities.

Responsibilities include:
  • Generate qualified appointments.
  • Create warm transfer opportunities.
  • Provide accurate notes regarding prospect conversations.
  • Communicate important information to the assigned sales representative.
  • Follow up with prospects requiring additional nurturing.
  • Assist with appointment confirmations.
  • Participate in sales meetings, training, and coaching when scheduled.
  • Work with agency leadership to improve scripts, calling strategies, and appointment results.
