Reporting Structure
- Reports to: Lending Operations Assistant Manager
- Supervises: None (serves as a resource to Loan Support Specialist I)

Position Purpose
The Loan Support Specialist II is responsible for supporting lending operations through advanced documentation management, loan servicing support, and compliance-related activities. This role handles more complex support tasks, assists with loan quality and accuracy, and serves as a resource to team members. The position works closely with internal teams and members to ensure loan-related requests are handled efficiently and in accordance with policies and regulatory requirements. Through attention to detail, problem solving, and collaboration, this role helps ensure lending operations remain accurate, compliant, and efficient.

What You’ll Do
Advanced Loan File Review & Documentation
- Review loan files for completeness, accuracy, and compliance
- Support correction of documentation discrepancies
- Maintain well-organized and audit-ready loan records
- Ensure adherence to lending policies and documentation standards

Collateral & Lien Management
- Track and maintain collateral documentation (titles, mortgages, UCC filings, insurance)
- Support lien perfection and follow up on outstanding items
- Verify insurance coverage and required documentation
- Ensure collateral records are complete and accurate

Loan Servicing Support
- Process servicing requests including payoffs, skip payments, modifications, and account updates
- Support ancillary product processes (e.g., GAP claims, debt protection)
- Assist with research and resolution of loan-related issues
- Maintain accurate servicing records

Reporting & Compliance Support
- Complete and maintain required operational reports
- Ensure report accuracy and audit readiness
- Support compliance with lending policies and regulatory requirements
- Assist in identifying discrepancies or risks in reporting

Member & Internal Support
- Respond to more complex member and internal inquiries
- Provide guidance related to loan servicing and documentation
- Route escalated issues appropriately
- Support a professional and responsive service experience

Operational Coordination
- Coordinate with lending, processing, and operations teams
- Support workflow efficiency across departments
- Assist in identifying and addressing workflow gaps
- Support timely completion of loan-related activities

Problem Resolution & Process Support
- Identify and resolve issues related to documentation, servicing, or reporting
- Support consistent application of procedures
- Assist in improving workflow and process efficiency
- Communicate trends or recurring issues to leadership

Team Support & Knowledge Sharing
- Serve as a resource to Loan Support Specialist I team members
- Assist with onboarding and training support
- Share knowledge and best practices
- Promote consistency in support processes

Operational Excellence
- Ensure tasks are completed accurately and within established timelines
- Follow lending policies, procedures, and security standards
- Communicate issues, risks, and updates effectively
- Support continuous improvement of lending operations

Qualifications
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required

Experience
Previous lending, administrative, or financial services experience required
________________________________________
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong understanding of loan documentation and servicing processes
- Knowledge of lending policies and regulatory requirements
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
