Manager, Professional Education - MedTech

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Manager, Professional Education - MedTech based in the United States.

This is a fully remote leadership opportunity focused on advancing professional education across a surgical MedTech portfolio.
You will shape education strategies and deliver learning experiences designed for healthcare professionals and customers.
The role combines clinical expertise, instructional design, faculty engagement, project management, and commercial collaboration.
You will work closely with sales, marketing, compliance, faculty, and education teams to turn customer insights into impactful programs.
The position offers the opportunity to introduce innovative approaches such as digital learning, surgical simulation, and tele-mentoring.
Success requires strategic thinking, strong execution, and a commitment to delivering accurate, engaging, and compliant education.
The role includes significant territory travel and the opportunity to influence how customers learn and adopt evolving surgical technologies.

Accountabilities
  • Lead the strategy, development, and execution of professional education programs across key surgical focus areas, ensuring programs align with customer needs and business priorities.
  • Manage the end-to-end delivery of education programs, including faculty, learners, facilities, vendors, logistics, communications, and program coordination.
  • Develop and manage educational curricula and learning content using adult-learning principles, instructional design, and appropriate digital and in-person modalities.
  • Translate customer insights, clinical knowledge, and business objectives into measurable education strategies, project plans, and new learning offerings.
  • Collaborate closely with faculty, marketing, sales, compliance, commercial education, and other business partners to ensure effective and compliant program execution.
  • Engage with and manage faculty while maintaining strong relationships with healthcare professionals and other education stakeholders.
  • Use data and performance insights to establish objectives, evaluate outcomes, optimize learning experiences, and guide future education investments.
  • Explore and implement innovative technologies and channels, including distance learning, web-based education, surgical simulation, and tele-mentoring.
  • Manage budgets, reporting, audits, databases, and other administrative requirements associated with professional education programs.
  • Maintain strong clinical and disease-state knowledge to ensure learning solutions are accurate, relevant, and effective.
  • Manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously while ensuring adherence to applicable legal, regulatory, and healthcare compliance requirements.
  • Travel up to 60% across the designated Southern Coast territory to support customer-facing programs and educational activities.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required; an MBA or certification in education, training, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • 6–8 years of professional business experience, with demonstrated experience in healthcare sales, marketing, professional education, or a related field.
  • Experience within medical devices, MedTech, healthcare technology, or a comparable environment is strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant surgical specialties, anatomy, procedures, and clinical environments.
  • Experience designing educational programs or curricula for healthcare professionals, with knowledge of adult-learning methodologies and instructional design.
  • Experience with distance learning, web-based education, surgical simulation, tele-mentoring, or other innovative training approaches is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate customer and market insights into practical, measurable education solutions.
  • Strong project management, organizational, administrative, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including confidence leading virtual meetings and customer-facing events.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to build productive relationships with faculty, customers, sales teams, marketing, compliance, and other stakeholders.
  • Creative, strategic, and analytical thinker who can make data-informed decisions and respond quickly to changing priorities.
  • Demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently while maintaining strong cross-functional alignment.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 60% throughout the assigned territory.
  • For this remote position, candidates should be prepared to maintain strong engagement and communication in virtual work environments.

  • Competitive base salary of $102,000–$177,100 annually, depending on factors such as experience, qualifications, and location.
