As a Welder, you'll play a key role in producing high-quality fabricated metal products by interpreting blueprints, preparing materials, and performing precision welding operations.
Responsibilities include:
- Perform MIG welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum components
- Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and production specifications
- Set up and operate welding equipment
- Position, align, and secure parts using jigs, fixtures, and clamps
- Tack weld and complete welds to quality standards
- Inspect completed work for accuracy and quality
- Perform robot welding and spot welding operations as required
- Operate shop equipment to prepare components for welding
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work area
- Support production goals while maintaining quality standards
- High school diploma or GED
- Six months to one year of welding experience, vocational training, or experience in a metal fabrication environment
- Ability to read blueprints and understand weld symbols
- Experience with MIG welding
- Ability to consistently meet quality and production standards
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
- Must provide personal hand tools
- Welding stainless steel, carbon steel, and aluminum
- Automated, robotic, or spot welding experience
- Fabrication shop experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Ability to stand for extended periods during 10-hour shifts
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment and safely perform welding operations
