JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Preparing a patient’s chart prior to provider examinationPreparing patients for their examinationAssisting providers during examinations and proceduresTaking and documenting patient information and medical historiesExplaining procedures to patientsAssisting with fluoroscopy during pain proceduresPerforming EKGsDrawing bloodRecording vital signsEnsure treatment areas are well maintained, stocked, neat, and cleanPerform additional administrative functions when neededFollows HIPAA guidelines when accessing and sharing patient informationMaintains patient and business confidentialityAll other duties as assignedREQUIREMENTS:

High school diploma/GEDMedical assisting experience: 1 year - Preferred (New graduates will be considered)Must Have CMA Certification Knowledge of general administrative and clerical proceduresPreferred experience in Pain Management / C ArmFriendly, professional demeanor and positive attitudeMust be able to multi-taskBasic knowledge of standard medical terminologyAble to maintain the confidentiality of private informationExcellent customer service skills including outstanding phone, written, and verbal communication skills
