Job Description
As the Senior Technical Program Manager(IC), you will be a hands-on leader responsible for setting the technical program direction for a significant product or business area. You will be expected to be technically proficient, capable of managing and mentoring a cross-disciplinary team to successfully plan, design, and deliver impactful, large-scale products and services within your domain.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOINGProgram Portfolio Management: Own the definition, roadmap, and execution of a portfolio of complex technical programs, ensuring alignment across Product and Engineering organizations to meet defined business objectives.
Refine Collaboration Models: Implement and refine cross-functional development and delivery frameworks to accelerate the introduction of new technology from conception through deployment within your product domain.
Execution Leadership: Lead the planning and execution of programs across distributed teams, ensuring the synchronized delivery of software, services, and infrastructure components essential for major product milestones.
Stakeholder Communication & Risk Management: Establish and lead regular communication cadence for key stakeholders, providing clear status updates on program health, managing strategic risks, and escalating change control decisions to senior leadership when necessary.
Technical Partnership: Partner with Engineering Managers and Architects to provide
technical oversight and guidance for key development initiatives, contributing to solution definition and mitigation of technical debt within your product area.
Operational Standards: Maintain and enforce organizational governance standards within your domain, providing visibility and metrics on program health and ensuring accountability for Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Domain Process Improvement: Drive and implement targeted process improvements across the product development lifecycle and team structures to address common issues and enhance the efficiency and scalability of the engineering organization within your scope.
WHAT YOU BRINGAdvanced Education: Bachelor’s degree or advanced technical degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering).
Significant Program Management Experience: 10-12 years of progressive experience in technical program/project management, with a minimum of 1-2 years in a Sr TPM or
equivalent leadership role (e.g., Group TPM Lead).
Program Expertise: Solid understanding of the agile software development lifecycle (SDLC) and proven experience in driving large-scale release and go-to-market schedules for a product portfolio.
Executive Communication: Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex technical strategies to both technical and non-technical senior leaders and run program review meetings.
