Role Overview:
As a Shop Assistant/Quality Control team member, you will play a key role in ensuring completed vehicles are fully inspected, clean, documented, and ready for the road. You will also support shipping and receiving, parking lot organization, and inventory assistance to keep shop operations running smoothly. This role requires strong attention to detail, initiative, and a commitment to quality and organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Daily Tasks:
Perform final quality inspections on completed vehicles using detailed checklists
Test electronics, accessories, and installed equipment to confirm proper function
Ensure vehicles meet safety and road-ready standards before release
Apply final-stage labels verifying trucks are legal and ready for roadway use
Wash, detail, and vacuum trucks prior to delivery
Take clear photos of completed vehicles to document quality and prevent damage disputes
Assist with unloading Meyer Distributing shipments
Help prepare parts, equipment, and materials for outgoing shipments
Support shipping and receiving of trucks and equipment
Organize and maintain parking lot layout so vehicles and equipment are easy to locate
Assist the Inventory Specialist with staging, tracking, and organizing materials
Maintain shop cleanliness and an organized, safe work environment
Weekly & As-Needed Tasks:
Assist with overall quality control support throughout the shop
Identify and report missing components, damage, or inconsistencies
Help prep vehicles, parts, and equipment for shipment
Reposition vehicles as needed to maintain efficient lot flow
Look for additional tasks when primary duties are complete and help where needed

Pay & Schedule:
$18–$22 per hour, based on experience
8-hour shift (Monday to Friday)
