QA Team Member

Pay: Starting at $20 - $21.65 (plus shift differential, based on experience)

Shift: 2nd shift

Job Summary:

The Production Operator – Quality is responsible for ensuring the quality and accuracy of manufactured parts by inspecting products, using precision measuring tools, and identifying good/no good parts throughout the production process.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

This is a second shift position with a start time of 5 PM.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform work as assigned by Supervisor
  • Inspect and verify quality of manufactured parts
  • Identify NG/OK parts and support containment activities
  • Use measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and gauges
  • Complete CMM operation, contracer usage, surface roughness testing, and roundness testing
  • Assist with process capability studies and CPK measurements
  • Complete daily quality audits and maintain accurate documentation
  • Participate in internal and external audits as scheduled
  • Support production teams with quality-related concerns
  • Assist with sorting, inspection, and final approval of parts
  • Follow 5S standards and maintain a safe work environment
  • Follow standardized work instructions and safety procedures
  • Assist with continuous improvement activities
  • Notify leadership of quality or production concerns immediately
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to follow standardized procedures and safety guidelines
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Dependable attendance and positive work ethic
  • Ability to adapt to changing production needs and overtime requirements
  • Preferred:

  • Prior manufacturing or quality experience preferred, but not required
  • Experience operating CMM or other metrology equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and measurement tools preferred
  • Experience using manual gages such as calipers, micrometers and dial indicators
  • On-the-job training provided for motivated candidates

  • Physical Requirements:

  • Able to lift up to 40 lbs regularly and chest-high when required.
  • Able to walk, stand, bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift.
