Description:

This is a full time position responsible for the leadership and management of Emergency Services Department providing crisis behavioral assessment and support services to people in the Monadnock Region 24/7/365. The Acute Care Director ensures the effective provision of emergency services according to the standards established by the Bureau of Behavioral Health of the NH Department of Health and Human Services. He/she will supervise the Emergency Services Clinicians and the peer support outreach specialist. He/she supervises and monitors programmatic, fiscal, statistical aspects/outcomes measures of Acute Care Services, and establishes annual budgets in collaboration with the agency's Senior Management Team, their clinical responsibilities include the episodic provision of direct emergency services to back-up the team when necessary.

Requirements:

Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for establishing and maintaining an effective & coordinated service delivery system for Acute Services.
  2. Strives to maintain services responsive to community needs,
  3. Responsible for the quality and compliance of services,
  4. Manages the recruitment, hiring, supervision, performance evaluation and termination of all staff in the programs under his/her administration.
  5. Responsible for participating in the development and monitoring of the annual budget of the Acute Care Service in collaboration with the Chief Executive Officer and the Chief Financial Officer.

Qualifications:

  1. Masters Degree and license in behavioral sciences or human service field and at least two years in an acute care service.
  2. Ability to understand basic program budgets and budget reports.
  3. Basic computer literacy. Knowledge of Excel a plus.
  4. Ability to travel as required by MFS.
  5. Effective data management skills.
  6. Ability to write clear and effective performance evaluations, reports and proposals.
