GCP Cloud Architect | Specialist

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a GCP Cloud Architect | Specialist based in Brazil.

This role offers the opportunity to design and deliver advanced cloud solutions while helping organizations accelerate their digital transformation journeys.
You will work as a technical reference in Google Cloud environments, supporting architecture design, migration strategies, and cloud-native adoption.
The position combines hands-on technical expertise with customer engagement, including workshops, demonstrations, and proof-of-concept initiatives.
You will collaborate with technical and business stakeholders across Latin America to create secure, scalable, and resilient cloud architectures.

Accountabilities:

As a GCP Cloud Architect, you will be responsible for designing cloud architectures, supporting customer transformation initiatives, and providing technical leadership throughout cloud adoption projects.

  • Deliver technical training sessions, workshops, and presentations focused on Google Cloud technologies, primarily in Spanish.
  • Create hands-on demonstrations, prototypes, and proof-of-concept solutions to showcase cloud capabilities.
  • Support customers in modernizing applications and infrastructure through cloud-native and serverless approaches.
  • Design scalable, resilient, secure, and efficient cloud architectures aligned with business requirements.
  • Develop and support cloud migration strategies, helping organizations transition workloads to cloud environments.
  • Collaborate with technical and business teams to qualify opportunities and define suitable solutions.
  • Promote cloud best practices, emerging technologies, and innovation opportunities.
  • Support digital transformation initiatives involving cloud-native architectures and modern application patterns.
  • Engage with technical stakeholders, decision-makers, and business teams across Latin America.
  • Provide guidance on architecture decisions, cloud adoption frameworks, and solution implementation strategies.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate has strong experience in cloud architecture, Google Cloud technologies, and modern infrastructure practices, combined with excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.

  • Proven experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Strong background in cloud solution architecture and designing scalable enterprise solutions.
  • Experience with application modernization, cloud-native architectures, and serverless technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with GCP services, including:
    • Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Cloud Storage, Compute Engine, VPC, IAM.
    • Cloud Load Balancing, Cloud Monitoring, and Cloud Logging.
  • Experience with containers and orchestration technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes / Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC), especially Terraform.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Experience supporting cloud migration initiatives and workload transformation.
  • Knowledge of networking concepts and Linux environments.
  • Experience with observability, monitoring, and distributed systems.
  • Experience managing and consuming APIs, including API Management solutions.
  • Strong understanding of Solution Architecture principles.
  • Advanced Spanish proficiency for technical presentations, workshops, and customer interactions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business audiences.

Nice-to-have qualifications:

  • Experience with Firebase.
  • Knowledge of BigQuery, Pub/Sub, and Dataflow.
  • Experience managing APIs through Apigee.
  • Experience with Enterprise Scheduler Service.
  • Knowledge of Anthos.
  • Experience with Cloud SQL and Memorystore.
  • Experience applying AI/ML solutions in GCP environments, including Vertex AI.
  • Knowledge of Looker.
  • Experience with Kafka.
  • Familiarity with GitOps practices, including ArgoCD.
  • Knowledge of Istio service mesh.
  • Experience with FinOps practices.
  • Understanding of SRE principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of cloud security best practices.
