The Community Partnerships Manager leads Goodman's corporate giving program by developing meaningful relationships with businesses, community leaders, and corporate partners. This role is responsible for growing corporate philanthropy, managing sponsorships, coordinating volunteer partnerships, and helping create fundraising events that inspire long-term investment in our mission.

What You'll Do

As the Community Partnerships Manager, you will:

  • Develop and implement Goodman Community Center's corporate giving strategy to grow annual and long-term corporate support.
  • Cultivate, solicit, and steward relationships with current and prospective corporate partners.
  • Build new partnerships by networking throughout the Madison business community.
  • Create customized sponsorship and investment opportunities for businesses and organizations.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Team, Board members, and Development staff to strengthen donor relationships and secure major corporate gifts.
  • Coordinate corporate volunteer opportunities in partnership with Goodman programs and volunteer staff.
  • Prepare proposals, presentations, stewardship reports, and donor communications.
  • Manage sponsor recognition and fulfillment for fundraising events and community partnerships.
  • Plan and oversee Development-led fundraising events, including budgets, timelines, logistics, and follow-up communications.
  • Serve as the primary liaison among internal teams, volunteers, sponsors, and Board members during fundraising events.
  • Maintain accurate records of corporate contacts, giving history, and stewardship activities in the donor database.
  • Perform other related duties that support Goodman Community Center's fundraising and community engagement efforts.
Requirements:

Required Qualifications

  • Three or more years of experience managing corporate fundraising, corporate partnerships, or foundation giving programs.
  • Excellent relationship-building and networking skills with the ability to engage business and community leaders.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Experience planning and executing successful fundraising or community events.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, donor databases or CRM systems, email platforms, and related technology.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams.
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and ability to manage confidential information.

  • Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • Experience working in nonprofit fundraising or development.
  • Experience managing donor databases or CRM systems.
  • Experience planning fundraising events and sponsorship programs.
  • Familiarity with professional fundraising organizations and best practices.
