$18 - $20 hourly
Responsibilities:
- Operate the computerized scale efficiently to ensure accurate vehicle weighing.
- Record essential data meticulously, including vehicle category and driver specifics, for each truck.
- Maintain precise records to guarantee billing accuracy and conduct routine audits for consistency.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and uphold customer service standards.
- Communicate effectively with drivers and other stakeholders to facilitate seamless transactions.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in data entry promptly to maintain operational integrity.
- Adhere to safety protocols and company policies to ensure a secure working environment for all staff members.
Qualifications:
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Ability to operate an electric weighing scale and computer console
- Ability to make routine arithmetical computations and tabulations accurately and to prepare routine reports
- Skill in computer operations, including pertinent software applications and a specialized Customer Service system
Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED certificate preferred
- Moderate computer proficiency
- Experience in trucking or in an industrial yard environment
- Basic math skills
- Experience with radio communication
Physical Requirements:
- Vision: adequate to enter and read material on computer screens. Able to identify individuals to initiate greetings, the giving of directions, and other business interactions
- Hearing: Able to hear safety alerts and warning signals
- Speaking: Able to engage in conversations in person and via electronic means and deliver information to groups of varying sizes with or without amplification
- Carrying: Able to occasionally carry up to 20lbs/9kg.
- Lifting: able to lift up to 30lbs/14kg.
