Overview: We're all about flexibility! While we prefer onsite/hybrid arrangements, but we're open to remote work too.

Now, onto the nitty-gritty:

GENERAL SUMMARY: We are seeking a highly motivated RCM Billing and Collections Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in MDX/Lattice Pro, revenue cycle management (RCM) and be proficient in multitasking, communication, and problem-solving.

Essential Job Functions:

  • MDX/Lattice (Medi-Matrix) Pro Experience Required
  • Multitask in various billing systems to gather billing and collection information for efficient collections.
  • Follow processes for claims submission and resolution.
  • Retain and apply multiple aspects of client requirements and billing processes.
  • Prepare, review, and submit daily/weekly/monthly billing in accordance with established procedures.
  • Work continuously to clear rejections, denials, and returned claims.
  • Review payments from primary payors and submit secondary claims.
  • Enter notes into appropriate databases for future collections efforts and inter-departmental communications.
  • Handle inbound and outbound call queues/emails, effectively communicating with payers and patients to explain balances and payment options/processes.
  • Query clients directly regarding documentation, ICD-10, CPT, and/or HCPCS codes.
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy, quality control, and performance standards to consistently meet established goals.
  • Communicate any issues or concerns related to charging/edit/denial trends to the team lead.
  • Maintain flexibility regarding schedule changes.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Outstanding customer service skills.
  • Self-motivated and adaptable to a coaching environment.
  • Positive attitude and team-oriented.
  • Knowledge of billing, clearinghouse, and EMR systems.
  • Intermediate/Advanced Excel, Word, and Outlook skills.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ year of experience working with RCM medical software in billing/coding.

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
