This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an EverCommerce Payments - Senior Project Manager based in the United States.
This is a high-impact project leadership opportunity focused on delivering scalable payment and commerce initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
You will take end-to-end ownership of strategic projects spanning product, engineering, operations, customer success, and executive leadership.

- Serve as the primary point of accountability for multiple strategic payment initiatives, managing projects from initiation through successful delivery.
- Lead cross-functional teams and drive accountability across stakeholders regardless of organizational level or reporting structure.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans covering milestones, dependencies, risks, decisions, action items, and deliverables.
- Identify project risks and potential blockers early, develop mitigation strategies, and escalate issues with clear recommendations and solutions.
- Establish scalable project governance through structured planning, transparent reporting, proactive risk management, and effective executive communications.
- Lead executive-level status meetings, delivering concise progress updates, highlighting key decisions, and defining actionable next steps.
- Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders across product, engineering, operations, customer success, and leadership teams.
- Facilitate difficult conversations, resolve conflicts, and maintain momentum when projects face competing priorities or organizational challenges.
- Lead project retrospectives, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement changes that strengthen future delivery.
- Prioritize competing initiatives effectively while maintaining focus on measurable business outcomes and strategic objectives.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, computer science, or a related field is preferred; PMP certification is also advantageous.
- At least 5 years of professional project management experience, with a proven record of successfully delivering complex initiatives.
- Strong experience delivering payment processing, merchant onboarding, or embedded payment integration projects is highly preferred.
- Advanced proficiency with Asana, including building project plans, managing dependencies, creating dashboards and portfolios, automating workflows, producing reports, and preparing executive-level reporting.
- Strong executive communication skills, with the confidence to present to Directors, Vice Presidents, and senior leadership.
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate challenging discussions, resolve conflicts, drive decisions, and maintain stakeholder accountability.
- Comfortable operating in ambiguous environments and capable of creating structure, processes, and clarity where they do not yet exist.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple complex initiatives in a rapidly changing environment.
- Demonstrated history of leading cross-functional teams toward successful delivery and achieving measurable business outcomes.
- Highly proactive, accountable, and solutions-oriented approach to project leadership.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills for working with internal and external stakeholders across different functions and levels.
- Ability to work effectively with globally distributed teams across multiple time zones.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
- Competitive compensation: Target base salary of $100,000–$110,000 USD per year in most U.S. locations, with final compensation based on location, market conditions, experience, and expertise.
