Job Description
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Licensing Senior Associate based in the United States.
This role is central to ensuring healthcare providers can obtain and maintain the licenses needed to deliver care across the country.
You will own and support end-to-end licensing operations for a growing network of dietitians, physicians, nurse practitioners, and therapists.
The position combines operational execution with process improvement, documentation, reporting, and cross-functional collaboration.
You will help build scalable licensing workflows as the organization expands into new states and provider types.
Your work will directly support providers while helping patients access high-quality, insurance-covered care without unnecessary delays.
You’ll operate in a fast-moving, technology-enabled environment where ambiguity and continuous change are part of the work.
This is an opportunity for a highly organized, adaptable operator who enjoys solving complex healthcare operations challenges and building better processes from the ground up.
- Own the end-to-end licensing application cycle for new and existing healthcare providers across the United States, ensuring applications are complete, accurate, and aligned with applicable requirements.
- Manage day-to-day licensing operations and workflows, identifying gaps, resolving issues, and keeping applications progressing toward approval.
- Support the optimization of licensing processes by identifying opportunities for automation, new tools, workflow improvements, and greater operational efficiency.
- Develop detailed standard operating procedures (SOPs) for new state and provider licensing requirements and lead their implementation across the team.
- Assist with managing and upskilling contract licensing team members, helping ensure consistent execution and adherence to established processes.
- Track licensing performance metrics and provide regular updates on progress, roadblocks, trends, and operational opportunities.
- Improve licensing reporting by developing more robust, actionable ways to monitor performance and identify areas requiring attention.
- Provide direct licensing support to Registered Dietitians, Medical Doctors, Nurse Practitioners, therapists, and other healthcare providers.
- Own licensing-related communications with providers, ensuring requirements, timelines, updates, and next steps are communicated clearly and promptly.
- Collaborate closely with revenue cycle management, payer operations, clinical operations, customer experience, and other cross-functional teams to share updates, gather input, and reprioritize work as needed.
- Help develop scalable processes and workflows as the organization expands into additional states, provider types, and healthcare services.
- 3+ years of experience in provider licensing, provider operations, healthcare operations, or a closely related field.
- Familiarity with state licensing requirements and processes for Registered Dietitians, physicians, nurse practitioners, therapists, or similar healthcare professionals.
- Experience supporting providers through individual licensing or payer-related enrollment processes is valuable.
- Strong organizational and project coordination skills, with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple applications, deadlines, and priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with healthcare providers and cross-functional stakeholders.
- A proactive and collaborative working style, with the ability to communicate changes, escalate roadblocks, and maintain momentum across teams.
- Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in ambiguous and rapidly changing environments, treating evolving processes as opportunities to improve rather than obstacles.
- Experience building, documenting, or improving operational processes from the ground up.
- Strong technology aptitude and willingness to learn new software, automation tools, and technology-enabled workflows.
- Flexibility, adaptability, and resilience when responding to new challenges, changing requirements, and evolving business needs.
- Familiarity with healthcare quality or compliance standards such as NCQA is a plus.
- Experience working within a startup or high-growth healthcare organization is advantageous.
- Genuine interest in improving healthcare access and contributing to a mission focused on helping people live healthier lives.
- Remote work: Fully remote opportunity within the United States.
- Mission-driven environment: Work on healthcare operations that directly support providers and help patients access care.
- High-impact role: Opportunity to influence core operational processes and build scalable licensing infrastructure during a period of significant growth.

- Professional development: Work alongside experienced healthcare and operations professionals in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Inclusive culture: A collaborative environment that values resilience, candid feedback, adaptability, and continuous improvement.
