Producer Commissions Consultant

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Producer Commissions Consultant based in United States.

This role is central to ensuring accurate, timely, and efficient commission payments across a complex operational environment. You will analyze and resolve commission-related issues, support processing activities, and contribute to projects that improve payment accuracy and reporting. The position combines financial analysis, data quality, system testing, workflow coordination, and process improvement. You will work cross-functionally with accounting, finance, and other business teams while providing technical guidance to commission operations. The role also offers opportunities to influence processes, coach colleagues, and improve operational controls. It is well suited to a detail-oriented professional who enjoys solving complex problems and working with data and technology.

Accountabilities:
  • Quality Assurance & Training: Ensure commission data is accurate and reliable through quality audits, reporting reviews, and process validation, while identifying training needs, coaching team members, maintaining procedures, and recommending improvements based on audit findings.
  • Issue Resolution: Research, analyze, and resolve complex commission, system, and processing issues, including escalated inquiries, error corrections, and reprocessing activities.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical guidance related to commission operations and system functionality while establishing preventive controls that reduce recurring errors and improve processing reliability.
  • Workflow Coordination: Monitor team workloads, prioritize assignments, and distribute work to support service levels, accuracy, productivity, and operational objectives.
  • Compliance & Controls: Support internal controls, compliance requirements, audit activities, and financial reporting processes to help ensure adherence to applicable policies and standards.
  • Reporting & Data Analysis: Develop and maintain complex reports, analyze commission data and trends, validate information, and provide actionable insights to support business decisions and operational improvements.
  • Advanced Excel Analysis: Use advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities to work with large datasets, develop complex formulas and pivot tables, validate data, troubleshoot reporting issues, and generate meaningful analysis for commission processing and decision-making.
  • Team Guidance: Provide work direction, technical expertise, and performance feedback to commission team members while supporting a collaborative and continuously improving environment.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to increase efficiency, strengthen controls, improve data quality, and enhance commission processing and reporting workflows.
Requirements
  • Experience: 2+ years of relevant professional experience is preferred, particularly in commissions, financial analysis, reporting, operations, or a related environment.
  • Commission Operations: Knowledge of commission processes and the ability to investigate and resolve complex commission-related issues is highly valued.
  • Financial Analysis: Strong analytical skills and proficiency in reviewing financial and operational data, identifying trends, and translating findings into actionable insights.
  • Microsoft Excel: Advanced Excel proficiency, including complex formulas, pivot tables, large-data analysis, data validation, and reporting troubleshooting.
  • Reporting & Experience with data reporting, quality validation, system testing, project testing, and maintaining accurate operational information.
  • Problem Solving: Strong problem-solving skills with the initiative to research issues, develop potential solutions, and work collaboratively with other business areas to drive resolution.
  • Compliance: Understanding of compliance requirements and internal controls, with the ability to support accurate and well-controlled financial processes.
  • Communication: Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to provide guidance and collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Organization: Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, adaptability, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work cohesively in a team-oriented environment and provide constructive guidance, coaching, and feedback when needed.
  • Technology: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn and work with commission and reporting systems.

  • Salary: $47,500–$61,600 annually, with base compensation determined by experience, qualifications, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and applicable requirements.
