Your work will directly influence audit performance, financial accuracy, and overall payment integrity.

Accountabilities:

You will be responsible for designing, delivering, and optimizing training programs that improve coding accuracy, audit performance, and compliance across medical review teams.

  • Translate complex coding audit findings and QC feedback into structured, actionable training materials and learning programs
  • Collaborate with QC analysts and concept development teams to identify knowledge gaps and systemic audit errors
  • Design and deliver live virtual training sessions, workshops, onboarding modules, and continuous education programs
  • Convert audit error trends into targeted remediation content that improves accuracy and reduces variance
  • Measure training effectiveness by tracking post-training performance, QC scores, and audit outcomes
  • Develop engaging instructional materials using presentations, documentation, and interactive learning tools
  • Provide clear, actionable feedback to auditors to improve decision-making, coding accuracy, and productivity
  • Support adoption and effective use of internal audit and coding tools while contributing feedback for improvement
  • Stay current with coding guidelines, reimbursement policies, and regulatory updates to maintain subject matter expertise
Requirements:

The ideal candidate brings deep healthcare coding expertise, strong analytical ability, and proven experience in training or education within payment integrity or medical auditing environments.

  • 8+ years of experience in medical coding, claims auditing, payment integrity, or healthcare reimbursement
  • CCS (Certified Coding Specialist) credential required
  • Expert-level knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10-CM/PCS, modifiers, and reimbursement methodologies
  • Strong understanding of outpatient claims across multiple care settings and payer types
  • Experience reviewing and auditing complex medical programs such as surgery, E&M, DME, infusion, and hospital-based claims
  • Proven ability to design or deliver training programs in coding, auditing, or billing environments
  • Strong instructional design skills with proficiency in tools such as PowerPoint or Google Slides
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to deliver clear, structured, and constructive feedback
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently in a remote environment
  • Strong collaboration mindset with commitment to continuous learning and process improvement
  • Nice to have: RHIA/RHIT credentials, CMS guideline experience, prior experience in high-growth or global teams, and familiarity with reporting tools or dashboards
Benefits:
  • Competitive annual salary ranging from approximately $105,000 to $118,000
  • Fully remote work arrangement within the United States
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance coverage
  • 401(k) retirement plan with company match and financial wellness support
  • Flexible spending accounts (FSA/HSA options)
  • Flexible time off policy plus paid company holidays
