Supervisor Central Sterile in Syracuse, New York at Crouse Hospital

Responsible for the staffing in his/her area, the assignment of work and observation of these activities, enforces policies and procedures as written, participates in the educational activities in the department, maintains the area by controlling the inventory of supplies, operation of equipment, and the updating of programs. Also performs tasks as appropriate in a customer-focused environment and performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent, with an Associate's degree in medical or business field preferred. Certification in Sterile Processing as a technician required, with Supervisory level preferred. Must also have a minimum of 2 years experience as a central service technician with exposure in all areas of the department. Knowledge of medical terminology is also required.
