About Us

At Todyl, we are on a mission to protect small and medium-sized businesses from ever-changing cyber

threats. The Todyl platform fully integrates threat, risk, and compliance management to provide

exceptional and affordable unified cybersecurity solutions to MSPs (Managed Service Providers) and

their end customers.

At the end of the day, we're here to keep our partners and customers safe and help them manage the

risks and comply with regulations. Protecting others requires a team that works together with trust and

cares deeply about carrying out our mission.

About the Role

We are looking for a talented, self-directed, collaborative engineer who is deeply knowledgeable and

thrives when working across multiple stacks and technologies. This role owns the desktop agent

products, developing against Windows, macOS, and Linux system APIs — enhancing existing

functionality and building new security-focused features. The role is tightly integrated with other

engineering teams, with the opportunity to work end-to-end, from design to implementation, on large-

scale networking and security services.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain our Go-based agent with cgo integrations for platform-specific

functionality

• Implement and enhance agent features including SASE, EDR, and endpoint security capabilities

• Design and implement system-level security features across Windows, macOS, and Linux

• Create robust platform-specific integrations using OS APIs

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex, escalated platform-specific issues in coordination with

customer-facing teams

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong proficiency in Go or a similar systems-oriented language (C, C++, Rust)

• Solid understanding of systems programming concepts on at least one of: Windows, macOS,

Linux

• Understanding of networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, routing, DNS, VPN protocols

• Experience with concurrent programming (e.g., goroutines, channels, pthreads, async/await)

• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment

Nice to Have

• Experience with cgo and integrating Go with C/C++ libraries

• Production experience building or maintaining system-level agents or services

• Socket programming experience (Winsock, BSD sockets)

• C# or Swift programming experience

• Experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot) to accelerate

systems-level engineering work

• Familiarity with SASE architecture or endpoint security concepts

• BS or MS in Computer Science from a strong systems-focused program

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $160,00-180,000 annually, with final compensation determined based on experience, skills, qualifications, and other job-related factors.
