Sales Support in Trotwood, Ohio at WESTRAFO AMERICA LLC

Westrafo America is a manufacturing facility specializing in the production of electrical transformers. We are building a high-performing team focused on safety, quality, and operational excellence.

This Sales Support role is responsible for supporting the sales function by managing customer accounts, coordinating internal resources, and ensuring seamless execution from quotation through order fulfillment. This role serves as a key liaison between customer, sales, engineering, production, and finance to ensure exceptional service, accurate order processing, and timely delivery of electrical transformers.

Duties:

• Serve as the primary internal point of contact for assigned sales accounts.
• Support outside sales representatives in managing customer relationships and follow-ups.
• Respond promptly to customer inquiries regarding pricing, order status, technical documentation, and delivery timelines.
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through proactive communication and issue resolution.

Quoting & Order Management:

• Coordinate with engineering and estimating teams to prepare accurate and competitive quotations for customer and standard transformers.
• Review customer specifications and ensure alignment with manufacturing capabilities.
• Enter and manage sales orders within SAP.
• Track orders from receipt through production and shipment to ensure on-time delivery.

Cross-Functional Coordination:

• Collaborate with engineering to clarify technical requirements and ensure accurate interpretation of customer specifications.
• Partner with production planning to monitor capacity and production schedules.
• Coordinate with purchasing and supply chain to ensure material availability.
• Work with finance on credit approvals, billing issues, and payment status.

Sales & Performance Support:

• Assist in developing sales forecasts and tracking sales metrics.
• Prepare reports on order intake, backlog, revenue tracking, and account performance.
• Support contract reviews and compliance with customer requirements.
• Identify opportunities for account growth and upselling.

Process Improvement:

• Identify inefficiencies in quoting, order entry, and communication processes.
• Recommend and implement improvements to enhance customer experience and internal workflow.
• Ensure compliance with company quality standards and procedures.

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• 3-7 years of experience in account management, sales support, or customer service within a manufacturing environment (electrical equipment or transformer industry preferred).
• Strong understanding of custom manufacturing processes and engineered-to-order products.
• Experience with SAP preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications and drawings is a plus.
