Job Overview

KIPP SoCal is seeking a strategic, organized, and relationship-driven Associate Director of Institutional Giving to support and grow our portfolio of corporate and foundation partners.

This role will be a key contributor to the institutional giving strategy, working closely with the Director of Institutional Giving and broader Development team to secure critical funding for our schools, programs, and regional priorities. Over the next five years, KIPP SoCal aims to fundraise more than $30 million from our institutional funders and increase annual institutional giving capacity by nearly $3 million. The creation of this new Associate Director of Institutional Giving position will be critical in hitting these corporate and foundation fundraising targets—both through their ability to bring in new institutional donors and by increasing the capacity of our Development Team.

The Associate Director will report to the Director of Institutional Giving and serve as the day-to-day leader of KIPP SoCal’s corporate engagement strategy. In this role, they will translate organizational goals into meaningful corporate partnerships, volunteer experiences, sponsorship opportunities, and philanthropic investments. They will be responsible for stewarding and expanding KIPP SoCal’s corporate giving portfolio, strategically executing KIPP SoCal’s corporate volunteerism program, overseeing corporate in-kind donations as part of stewardship, writing and managing grants connected to their portfolio, and helping launch and manage KIPP SoCal’s Corporate Council. Working across departments, the Associate Director will help build a sustainable pipeline of corporate supporters while strengthening pathways from volunteer engagement to long-term donor involvement.

While the Associate Director role will most directly oversee corporate partnerships initially, they will also support in meeting our goals for foundation giving—which aims to increase annual foundation fundraising by $2 million within five years in a sustainable manner. They will assist in achieving this goal both by increasing the team’s capacity and through cross-functional collaboration. In support of our Institutional Giving goals and our team’s development and sustainability, the Associate Director may have foundation partners strategically assigned to their portfolio as organizational needs evolve.

You Should Apply If
You have the combination of strong pipeline development, corporate stewardship, strategic partnership building, and cross-functional collaboration to make this position a mission-critical investment for KIPP SoCal that will drive both immediate and long-term organizational growth.
