RN Periop Outpatient (DOSU) in Gastonia, North Carolina at CaroMont Health

Job Summary: To render professional Perioperative / PeriAnesthesia nursing care to patients who are undergoing operative and other invasive / non invasive procedures. The PeriAnesthesia nurse provides, manages, teaches, and/or studies the care of this patient population. Collaborates with the medical staff and other members of the health care team to provide quality patient care. Performs all activities in accordance with approved policies and guides. Supervises and delegates appropriate duties to ancillary personnel.

Qualifications: Current RN license to practice in NC (NC licensure or multi-state (compact) license). BSN preferred; professional nursing certification preferred. Recent acute care experience within past 3 years preferred. Meets general hospital and departmental competency requirements. Current technical certificates such as Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), NIH Stroke Scale Certification, as required by specialty area.
