Job Description

DIRECT HIRE: The Electrical Field Supervisor manages and oversees field operations for commercial electrical construction projects. This role is responsible for supervising electricians and subcontractors, coordinating installation activities, ensuring compliance with electrical codes and safety standards, and maintaining project schedules across multiple job sites within the Monroe and Charlotte region.

📍 Working Location: Monroe, NC./Charlotte, NC. and surrounding area
💰 Pay: $80K - $110K (depending on experience)
🕒 Base Shift/Hours: M - F, 7am - 4pm

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise daily field operations for commercial electrical construction projects including retail, office, hospitality, and industrial facilities

  • Direct electricians, foremen, and subcontractors to ensure electrical installations meet project specifications, schedules, and quality standards

  • Coordinate all phases of commercial electrical construction including underground conduit installation, rough-in, service equipment installation, and final trim-out

  • Manage installation of major electrical systems including service entrances, switchgear, transformers, distribution panels, branch circuits, lighting systems, and low-voltage infrastructure

  • Review electrical blueprints, schematics, and project specifications to plan work activities and identify potential conflicts before installation begins

  • Coordinate work with general contractors, project managers, engineers, and other trades to maintain efficient construction sequencing and jobsite productivity

  • Monitor jobsite progress and manpower productivity, adjusting crew assignments to maintain schedules and meet construction milestones

  • Ensure all installations comply with the National Electric Code, local building regulations, and company standards

  • Conduct regular jobsite inspections to verify workmanship quality and ensure adherence to safety procedures

  • Coordinate electrical inspections with local building departments and project inspectors to ensure successful code compliance and project approvals

  • Manage Requests for Information (RFIs), field modifications, and change orders related to electrical installations and design changes

  • Coordinate procurement and delivery of electrical materials including conduit, wiring, panels, lighting fixtures, and equipment

  • Maintain daily field reports, installation documentation, and project progress updates

  • Enforce company safety programs and ensure compliance with OSHA safety regulations

  • Lead jobsite safety meetings and reinforce safe work practices among electrical crews

  • Travel regularly between commercial job sites within the Monroe and Charlotte metropolitan area to support multiple active projects

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 8 years of commercial electrical construction experience

  • 3+ years of leadership experience as an electrical foreman, lead electrician, or field supervisor

  • Strong working knowledge of commercial electrical systems and installation practices

  • Thorough understanding of the NEC and local electrical regulations

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications

  • Experience coordinating multiple electrical crews and subcontractors across multiple job sites

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel regularly throughout the Monroe and Charlotte area

  • OSHA safety certification or equivalent safety training preferred
