We are actively recruiting for an Intake and Admissions Counselor. This counselor is responsible for assessing the needs of the potential patient and family and ensuring their referral to the service or resource to best address those needs.

Responsibilities:

1. Responds to telephone, in person, and online inquiries from individuals, their family members, and other referral sources seeking substance abuse treatment information.

2. Assesses clinical appropriateness of the clients based on information obtained during interview, determines level of care, and facilitates interventions as needed. Coverage includes On Call coverage after hours and weekends as needed.

3. Communicates facility rules and policies to patients and their support systems.

4. Documents calls and relevant information on Intake forms including data entry of each call and updates.

5. Provides alternate referral sources for individuals who are not appropriate for treatment at Santé Center for Healing.

6. Meets with new patients and families upon admission to facilitate the transition process into treatment.

7. Provide tours of the facility to potential patients and families.

Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or related field required. Masters degree and Texas license preferred: LPC, LPC-Intern, LMFT, LMFT-Associate, MSW. 1 year experience working with individuals with mental health/and or various addiction issues preferred. For individuals in recovery, you must have a minimum of two years recovery
