The Neil Jones Food Company is an industry leader, processing superior quality fresh-packed, vine-ripened California tomatoes and Pacific Northwest fruit. Headquartered in Vancouver, Washington, NJFC has been providing our nation’s discerning foodservice, retail, industrial and institutional customers with the finest quality canned and pouched products for over 50 years. NJFC operates three production facilities: Northwest Packing in Vancouver, WA.; San Benito Foods, in Hollister, CA; and Toma-Tek in Firebaugh, CA.
We are looking for a part-time 1st Shift Warehouse Tagger who will be responsible for ensuring canned product is accurately coded and tagged to allow inventory personnel to accurately track finished goods in warehouses. Inspects canned product for coding and can quality at our Northwest Packing plant in Vancouver, WA. This is a part-time position (full-time during pack season, July – October, and when running production off season; part-time the rest of the year), primarily 1st shift, 7:30 am – 3:30 pm.

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensures products are coded and tagged according to product specifications.
- Works closely with Palletizing Lead and quality control to ensure damaged product is accounted for and tags are accurate.
- Reviews and audits brite stock for quality.
- Pulls USDA samples according to pull sheet (13x per shift) as needed.
- Complies with Food Safety initiatives.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent; some college level work preferred; or any combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to do this position.
- 1+ year(s) warehouse experience preferred.
- Requires English verbal and written communication and good interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift and/or carry up to 25 lbs. and walk long distances; climb stairs; walk and maneuver between pallets of inventory.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test, work extended hours, weekends, and any shift assigned during our fresh pack season, generally July - November.
