The Implementation Specialist will own the end-to-end implementation process for new customers, ensuring successful onboarding, accurate configuration, and smooth transitions into ongoing customer relationships. This role requires strong project management skills, technical understanding, and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Manage customer implementations from initial handoff through go-live and post-launch validation.
- Lead kickoff meetings, define project timelines, establish milestones, and align responsibilities with customers and internal teams.
- Gather business requirements, workflows, operational needs, and configuration specifications.
- Configure customer programs, workflows, permissions, rules, and platform settings.
- Validate customer data, perform testing, troubleshoot issues, and ensure launch readiness.
- Deliver onboarding sessions and training for administrators, operational teams, and end users.
- Track implementation progress, risks, dependencies, and customer action items to maintain successful delivery.
- Coordinate cross-functional collaboration across sales, customer success, product, engineering, and internal systems teams.
- Complete structured handoffs after launch and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to improve implementation processes, documentation, automation, and scalability.
The ideal candidate has experience managing complex SaaS implementations and customer onboarding projects while combining strong organizational skills with technical problem-solving abilities. You should be comfortable working independently, managing multiple stakeholders, and translating business needs into effective system solutions.
- 5-8 years of experience in enterprise SaaS implementation, customer onboarding, professional services, solutions delivery, or a similar customer-facing role.
- Proven experience independently managing implementations from kickoff through successful launch.
- Strong project management skills, including handling timelines, dependencies, risks, and stakeholder expectations.
- Ability to translate business requirements into system configurations and operational workflows.
- Experience working with configurable software platforms and learning complex products quickly.
- Excellent customer communication skills, including training delivery, stakeholder alignment, and expectation management.
- Strong attention to detail, documentation abilities, organization, and follow-through.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with sales, customer success, product, and technical teams.
- Adaptability and willingness to contribute to evolving processes and customer needs.
- Experience with CRM or customer success platforms such as Gainsight, HubSpot, or Salesforce is a plus.
- Experience with customer training, enablement, change management, or building implementation processes is considered an advantage.
- Competitive annual base salary of $85,000 - $100,000 CAD, depending on experience, skills, and performance.
