Maintenance Technician in Tallahassee, Florida at Radiology Associates of Tallahassee

Job Description

Position is responsible for the upkeep of the Radiology Associates building and grounds. This includes maintaining the parking lot and landscaping, light electrical, plumbing, HVAC and painting. Other duties and tasks may be assigned. Hours for this position are 7:00 AM-4:00 PM. Occasional on call responsibilities may include after hour and weekend work as required as such, preference will be given to applicants who live in close enough proximity to the facility to be able to be on site within 30 minutes to attend to emergent issues.

Essential Functions

· Upkeep of all facility grounds

· Light landscaping and irrigation repair

· Perform scheduled checks and services of HVAC, lighting and plumbing systems for normal operation

· Maintaining flat roof and roof drains

· Interior repairs such as sheet rock work and painting

· Running supplies to ancillary office locations as needed

· Work with vendors to complete necessary contracted work

· Maintain inventory of supplies

· Moving furniture as needed and any other practice specific needs

· Assist with courier duties as needed

Minimum Qualifications:

· High school diploma or equivalent

· 1-3 years of experience in facility maintenance or related trade field

· Must be able to read and write English

· Must be able to follow oral and written instructions

· Must have excellent attendance record

· Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Knowledge and Skills:

· Working knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, painting and sheetrock

· Knowledge of HVAC systems

· Knowledge of electrical systems

· Ability to use power tools

· Problem solving skills related to maintenance and repair issues

· Self-motivated with organizational and time management skills

· Strong communication skills

· Ability to take direction from supervisor

· Interpersonal skills to interact with coworkers and patients

· Attention to detail while completing tasks

Physical Demands and Environment:

· Working on feet for extended period of time

· Working in hot and cold environments

· Occasional lifting of heavy items

· Ability to climb ladders and work on flat roof
