Position Summary
This position is responsible for supervising production employees and fostering a positive, respectful work environment through clear communication, coaching, performance management, and consistent reinforcement of company values. The role oversees the setup and operation of production equipment to ensure products consistently meet food safety and quality standards, while ensuring employee compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), color-coding requirements, and proper handling of raw materials and food-contact packaging. This individual plays a key role in maintaining environmental, food safety, and allergen-control standards by closely managing employee movement between departments and facilities to minimize cross-contamination risk. Additionally, this role is responsible for maintaining accurate documentation, including lineside boards and daily production records, as well as compiling and submitting required reports in a timely manner.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Supervise employees, including coaching, performance management, and administering disciplinary actions as needed
- Promote a positive, respectful work environment by modeling professional behavior, communicating clearly and kindly, and reinforcing company values
- Ensure employee compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)*
- Set up and oversee production equipment to ensure products meet food safety and quality standards
· Conduct, maintain and submit accurate reports in a timely manner
- Ensure proper handling and movement of raw materials and food-contact packaging in accordance with GMPs
- Demonstrates strong attention to detail by maintaining color-coding compliance throughout all production areas
- Ensures consistent compliance with environmental, food safety, and allergen-control requirements by carefully managing employee movement between departments and facilities, minimizing cross-contamination risks, and maintaining adherence to established procedures and regulatory standards.
- Manage and maintain accurate documentation on lineside boards and daily production records
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Previous experience in a food manufacturing or packaging environment.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Working knowledge of SQDC, OEE, and Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Desired Qualifications & Traits

· Previous knowledge of GMPs, and FDA regulations.
· Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and extended shifts as needed.
Physical Requirements
· Walk and stand for extended periods of time (up to 8–12 hours per day).
· Use hands and fingers to handle, feel, and operate objects, tools, or controls
· Reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as needed
· Climb stairs and occasionally ladders or platforms
· Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
· Ability to work in a production/manufacturing environment, which may include varying temperatures and noise levels.
· Must be able to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for long periods of time, which may include hair/beard nets, gloves, safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, hearing protection, lab coats, or protective outerwear.
