Job Description

At River Rock Casino Resort, one of British Columbia’s most iconic entertainment destinations, every guest interaction is an opportunity to create something memorable. Located in the heart of Richmond—just minutes from Vancouver International Airport, a short drive from downtown Vancouver, and directly connected to its own on‑site SkyTrain station (Bridgeport Station)—River Rock blends the energy of a world‑class casino with the comfort and sophistication of a full‑service waterfront resort.

As part of a team of over 900 dedicated employees, you’ll join a vibrant, guest‑focused community where hospitality, entertainment, and service excellence come together. We are looking for warm, enthusiastic, self‑starting individuals who bring genuine hospitality to every conversation. As a Front Desk Agent, you will be one of the first faces our guests meet, setting the tone for their stay with your welcoming energy, polished professionalism, and commitment to exceptional service.

Whether you’re assisting with check‑ins, sharing recommendations about our dining, entertainment, and casino offerings, or helping guests unwind after a long day of travel, you’ll play a key role in delivering the signature River Rock experience that keeps guests returning year after year.

Key Responsibilities

  • Guest Welcome & Check‑In — Greet guests with warmth and professionalism, ensuring a smooth and efficient arrival experience.
  • Room Assignments — Book guests into rooms based on reservations, preferences, and availability.
  • Resort and Casino Knowledge — Provide helpful information about River Rock’s hotel amenities, casino offerings, dining, entertainment, and services.
  • Reservations Support — Assist with room reservations as needed.
  • Cashiering & Payments — Process payments, deposits, and foreign currency exchange with accuracy and care.
  • Guest Communications — Handle telephone inquiries, messages, and guest requests promptly and professionally.
  • Service Coordination — Arrange special services such as laundry, room service, and additional amenities.
  • Department Collaboration — Communicate effectively with operational teams to support a seamless guest experience.
  • Relationship Building — Build strong working relationships with guests, colleagues, and leadership.
  • Regulatory Compliance — Ensure adherence to licensing laws, health and safety standards, and all regulatory requirements.
  • Additional Duties — Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Education and Qualifications

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in hospitality sales, catering management, or event operations; casino or entertainment venue experience is an asset.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing complex events.
  • Strong understanding of banquet operations, food & beverage service, and event logistics.
  • Experience working within regulated environments (gaming, liquor, health & safety).
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, event management software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and event‑driven schedules.
  • Ability to successfully obtain a Gaming License

Work Environment Considerations

Standing for extended periods and supporting the operation during non‑traditional hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as part of delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Eligible employees receive a competitive benefits package after completing probation and meeting the required hours threshold, including:

  • Extended health and dental coverage
  • Company pension plan with matching contributions
  • Employee and family assistance programs
  • Paid time off
